The Eurotherm conference took place in Lyon. The city of Lyon is known for its historical and architectural landmarks and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lyon was historically known as an important area for the production and weaving of silk and in modern times has developed a reputation as the capital of gastronomy in France. Lyon is located approximately 150 km (93 miles) from Geneva, 470 km (292 miles) from Paris, and 320 km (199 miles) from Marseille. Lyon can be easily accessed by plane (from Lyon Saint Exupéry airport, with a 30 minute shuttle connection to the city centre; from Geneva airport, with trains connections to Geneva city centre and then Lyon city centre) or by fast train (TGV fast-train connections from Paris or Marseille).
The conference took place at « Institut des Sciences Cognitives » (ISC) (15th-17th October) and the optional introductory tutorials at INSA (14th October).

The conference location (ISC) is at 15 minutes by walking from these public transport stations. A shuttle service between ISC and these stops will be organized every morning.
Closest public bus stops (<4 min by walking) are Hopital Neurologique (line C8), Parc Chambovet (line C8), Pinel-Lépine (line C9).

These optional lectures will take place on Tuesday 14th October. The location (INSA) is not the same than the one of the conference and can be easily reached by tramway. Note that INSA is far from ISC by public transport.

This hotel is the closest to the conference location (ISC). The most convenient way to reach it by public transport is bus.


Hotels near Part-Dieu stations
Part-Dieu train station is the main transport hub in Lyon. The location of the tutorial sessions (INSA) can be reached within 25 minutes by tramway from Part-Dieu area. However, it is quite far from the conference location (ISC).
